The Bible is more than a book—it’s a bridge.

Event Recap: “Faith in Action” Community Bible Day

An unforgettable day of Scripture, service, and togetherness.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Big Bible brought neighbors, families, and volunteers together for our very first “Faith in Action” Community Bible Day—a free, family-friendly event that combined Bible teaching, fellowship, and practical service projects to strengthen our local community.

Held at Victoria Park Community Center, the event welcomed over 150 attendees of all ages who came out to connect, learn, and live out the teachings of Christ in real and tangible ways.

📖 Bible Sessions Led by the Community

Throughout the day, we held interactive Bible study circles, each led by a local volunteer. Themes included:

  • “Love Your Neighbor” – a reflection on Mark 12:31
  • “What Does It Mean to Serve?” – based on Galatians 5:13
  • “Faith That Works” – exploring James 2:14–17

Attendees shared personal stories, asked questions, and encouraged one another, creating a safe, welcoming space for spiritual growth.

💪 Hands-On Service Projects

Living out the Word was just as important as studying it. Participants took part in several mini service initiatives, including:

  • Assembling 100+ hygiene kits for a local shelter
  • Painting kindness rocks with encouraging Bible verses
  • Writing cards and prayers for local seniors and hospital patients

Children had their own service stations too—like creating art for nursing homes and packaging snacks for families in need.

🎶 Fellowship & Fun

Beyond the study and service, the event offered a fun atmosphere for building relationships:

  • Live acoustic worship from a local church group
  • A community potluck lunch with food donated by volunteers
  • Kids’ Bible-themed games, crafts, and storytelling sessions

It was a joyful mix of faith, food, and fellowship, reminding us that the Church isn’t a building—it’s the people.

❤️ Impact & Gratitude

By the end of the day:

  • 15 new Bible groups were started
  • More than 40 people signed up to volunteer with Big Bible
  • Dozens of attendees asked for ongoing resources and studies

We are so grateful to the volunteers, donors, and local partners who made the day possible. Events like these are exactly why Big Bible exists—to help people connect with God and each other in life-giving ways.
